OSHA 30 Hour General Industry

Duration: 30 Hours

This class will provide fundamental safety and health education emphasizing identifying hazards, avoiding hazards, along with controls and prevention. Required topics include:

• Confined Space Entry
• Electrical
• Exit Routes
• Fire Protection
• Hand and Power Tools
• Hazardous Communications
• Lock Out/Tag Out
• Machine Guarding
• Material Handling
• Person Protective Equipment
• Powered Industrial Trucks
• Recordkeeping
• Walking and Working Surfaces
• Flammable and Combustibles
• Bloodborne Pathogens
• Safety and Health Programs

Participants will receive their OSHA 30 General Industry Certification.

Learning Objectives:

• Discussing the functions of OSHA and its priorities; and
• Describing the rights and responsibilities of employers and employees; and
• Identifying how to control hazards in general industry.
