Roofing Safety

Duration: 2 Hours


A review of the hazards and safe practices associated with roofing operations. The program is geared for those employees who perform small repairs or install small sections of roofing on one-story buildings, including flat or angled.

Learning Objectives:

• Identification of the different types of hazards with roofing operations;
• The importance of pre-planning;
• Personal Protection Equipment needed;
• Fall Protection requirements;
• Material handling and clean up;
• Access to elevated areas;
• Fire Protection when using heated tools; and
• Heat Stress exposures and preventative measures.

Participant Profile:

Any employee who performs minor roof repair or installation.
